Can it stay outside all year?
It’s made for outdoor use. Take any fabric cover off in storms or heavy snow and check the fixings now and then. Wooden frames last longer with an occasional coat of exterior paint or stain.
How many cats can use it?
It depends on the size. As a guide, allow around 10–15 sq ft of floor space per cat and choose a design with several levels so cats can share.
Can my cat stay in it unsupervised?
A catio is made for safe outdoor time, but check on your cat regularly, make sure there’s shade and water, and bring them in during extreme weather.
