Measure your space first and leave room to open the door. As a guide, plan around 10–15 sq ft of floor space per cat and choose a design with several levels so cats can share.

Netting greatly reduces fall risk when it's fixed securely on all sides. Check the net and fixings regularly and replace any damaged sections.
